In a solemn ceremony held by the University of Bilad Al-Rafidain University the Olympic champion, Najla Imad, daughter of Diyala, was received by the President of the University of Bilad Al-Rafidain University prof ,Dr. Rasha Khalil Abed,and the teaching staff and honoring her after achieving a historic achievement by winning the gold medal in the Paralympic Games held in Paris 2024, in the sport of table tennis. This great victory was not a source of pride for Najla alone, but rather it is a source of pride and pride for all Iraqis, as she raised the Iraqi flag high in the international sports forum.

The honoring ceremony was marked by the presence of prominent figures at the university, in addition to a group of professors and students who expressed their great pride in the heroine’s achievement.

Mr. Salman Muhammad Al-Lahibi, Investor of the University of Bilad Al-Rafidain mentioned that he praised the effort and determination shown by Najla Imad during her sporting career, and announced that he would grant her a free seat to study in the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the university, in appreciation of her exceptional achievement.

Representative Muhammad Qutaiba, a member of the Higher Education Committee, was also present in his continued support for Najla before the Olympics, and stressed the importance of encouraging young Iraqi talents and providing them with the necessary support to achieve successes at the global level.

During the ceremony, the champion, Imad’s daughter, expressed her great happiness with this reception and honor, and stressed that this achievement is the result of years of effort and continuous training, thanking everyone who supported her in her sporting journey, especially  Salman Al-Lahibi and Muhammad Qutaiba, who provided her with all kinds of support before and during. Olympiad.
