About the Department
  • The Department of Business Administration at the University of Mesopotamia was established in 2010 and aims to graduate students with a basic background of scientific concepts, foundations and theories in the field of organization and individuals, in addition to developing students’ knowledge and skills related to marketing goods and services.

    Message

    The Department of Business Administration believes that learning management and transforming it into effective practices contributes to building a developed society, as it is self-management. Therefore, the department seeks to enable individuals to manage their businesses efficiently and provide useful and productive knowledge to public and private organizations through undergraduate and graduate studies, conducting scientific research, providing consultations, and designing advanced systems. The department is also distinguished as a school for pioneers that teaches generations and learns from them to be a symbol of human and intellectual giving.

    Building and developing the leadership personality of students to deal with individuals in the work environment

    Acquiring additional knowledge that supports the administrative specialization to enable students to deal with business challenges

    A graduate of the Business Administration Department who holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration is awarded the title of Administrative Assistant in all activities and businesses in public and business organizations.

    Tasks and Duties of Department Graduates

    Given the importance of the Business Administration Department in institutions, and its impact on the success of the institution and its successful achievement of its planned goals, employees in these positions are selected based on the individual's academic qualifications, cognitive and professional skills that are compatible with the requirements of the administrative position, and problem-solving and thinking skills must be available; to achieve the best results, exploit available resources and make the most of them, in addition to several skills, including:

    Planning skill: contributes to determining the plans and strategies on which the executive operations of the institution are based.

    Organization skill: coordination between the various operations of the institution in all departments. Employment skill: working to distribute tasks in a way that contributes to achieving the goals of the institution.

    Leadership skill: the ability to manage resources of all kinds in accordance with the institution's standards to achieve its goals.

    Self-control skill: It controls how the various types of operations in the institution proceed, and through it a harmonious and consistent work environment is provided, which successfully achieves the institution's goals.

    Knowledge: Knowledge of concepts, knowledge of theories and principles, and knowledge of procedures.

    Cognitive skills: Application of principles, critical intellectual analysis, creativity and problem solving.

    Skills of dealing with others and taking responsibility: Taking responsibility for learning and self- and professional development, working effectively and exercising leadership, acting responsibly in personal and professional relationships, adhering to high ethical values ​​​​at the personal and public level.
