This study assesses the impact of social media on panic buying of drugs and medical supplies during COVID-19. An online survey was conducted in the Delhi-NCR region (India) using a 5-point Likert scale questionnaire. The data were collected from the respondents (N = 250) who were youngsters considering their pivotal role in the battle against COVID-19. Regression analysis in SPSS was used to process the data. The results manifested a strong impact of social media on buying behavior during COVID-19. Perceived scarcity (p = .000), perceived quality (p = .000), perceived cost (p = .000) of medical supplies, and fear-of-missing-out (p = .000) were found to strongly influence panic buying. Further, perceived scarcity was found to have a significant impact on FOMO (p = .0400). At the same time, perceived cost also had a substantial effect on perceived quality (p = .0100). The perception of scarcity of medicines, the quality degradation that may happen later, or the likelihood that costs may increase in the future contributed fairly to people stockpiling. "Abstract This study examines how corporate governance improvements affect Tehran Stock Exchange-listed enterprises' stock market performance. The purpose of this study is to investigate corporate governance, namely the independence of the CEO, auditor, board, and ownership. The statistic known as return on assets is used to evaluate the success of a company. The statistical population for the study was chosen from among the one hundred firms that were registered on the Iraqi Stock Exchange during the years 2014 and 2019. Both the ordinary least squares and the multiple mixed regression methods were utilized in order to assess the hypotheses of the investigation. In their respective studies, Almagsoosi et al. (2022) and Mohammed et al. (2023) suggest doing general, small, and big organization evaluations. At both the company-wide and small business levels, the research discovered that there was no correlation between the performance of ownership concentration firms and the implementation of corporate governance changes. Independence of the chief executive officer, auditor, and board of directors has been altered. Alterations to the independence of boards of directors have a detrimental effect on the corporate governance of important firms. There is not much of an impact that advances in corporate governance have on the actual performance of large companies.
