Establishment

The Department of Interfaith Dialogue at the University of Bailad Alraifdain  was established in 2018 and aims to graduate qualified personnel to work in spreading the spirit of peace and coexistence among members of the same society.

Vision

The Department of Interfaith Dialogue seeks to build a pluralistic civil society governed by the values ​​of tolerance and coexistence through the human civilizational discourse directed to all people by understanding religion and representing its law by appreciating and understanding its texts and through its diverse data as a path to renewal in religion, and then transformation in society in a way that expands the horizons of the civilizational experience and deepens its trends on the basis of intellectual competence.

Message

The mission of the Department of Interfaith Dialogue is embodied in spreading the culture of religious tolerance, coexistence between groups and individuals, spreading the research culture that confronts the hostile theories represented by sectarianism, and studying religion and heritage in light of modern approaches to the humanities.

Establishing a critical, dialogical mentality and overcoming a closed, static mentality.

Freeing the understanding of religion from fanatic and aggressive sayings, ideas and positions.

Educating on freedoms and human rights, and drying up the sources that consolidate the concepts of tyranny and violence.

Monitoring and following up on global developments hostile to Islam and their future effects.

Interest in studying the history of religions, and emphasizing the aspects that can be developed and improved in the present and sound planning for the future.

To know the method, beliefs, rituals and rites of other religions that help the student of knowledge understand them in order to be a good preacher of the Islamic religion.
