The Department of Optical Technologies organizes field visits to examine the eyesight of students in primary and secondary schoolWithin the framework of strengthening the university’s role in serving the community, the Department of Optical Technologies at the University of Bilad Al-Rafidain  organized field visits to a number of primary and secondary schools, with the aim of examining the vision of students and diagnosing cases that may require medical follow -up, as part of a health program that seeks to early detection of vision problems and enhance awareness of the importance of careWith eyes.


The visit included the following schools:

Altheka Elementary schools

Ayman private School 

Secondary surra school,

Al Khamayel Primary School

Alhuriya High School for Girls

Umm Salamah High School for Girls

Where the department's professors and his students, under the supervision of a specialized staff, conducted visual examinations for students, provided medical guidance on how to maintain eye health, and the importance of reviewing specialized doctors when needed. Awareness cards containing preventive guidelines have been distributed to reduce visually impaired problems, especially those resulting from excessive use of electronic devices and poor lighting during reading.

The role of the university in community service:

These visits come within the continuous efforts of the Department of Optical Technologies in supporting community health initiatives, based on the university's belief in the importance of early detection of vision problems and its role in improving the academic achievement of students, as the sound vision is an essential factor in improving academic performance and avoiding learning difficulties resulting from twiceUnlawful vision.Thanks and appreciation:
