On the occasion of the International Day of Obesity, the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Bilad Al-Rafidain  organized a scientific symposium and an awareness campaign under the title //

 (Health challenges facing obesity)

 It was presented by Dr. Haider Abdel Hafez

 And Dr. Abdul Salam Harfish on Tuesday 4/3/2015.

The activities were opened with a lecture by Dr. Haider Abdel Hafez, which dealt with the definition of obesity as one of the most prominent global health problems, and its negative effects on human health, and their serious complications such as heart disease, diabetes, and high blood pressure, were highlighted, after which Dr. Abdel Salam Harfash had taken the spread of obesity in society and the most importantIts causes are due to several factors, including: _Unhealthy lifestyle

 Lack of physical activity and wrong eating habits.

These activities, which are held by the College of Pharmacy as a contribution and faith in the role of the college in educating the community of healthy healthy habits. This day is a global day approved by the World Health Organization for awareness of the dangers of obesity
